High school can feel like the most intimidating season of homeschooling... and also the most overlooked. Rachel knows this firsthand.
As a writer, speaker, and educator, Rachel has walked the high school years alongside her own children, navigating the questions, doubts, and big decisions many parents face: Am I doing enough? Will this work? What about college or something else entirely? After homeschooling two of her kids through high school and helping guide them into college with scholarship opportunities, her work now helps other families approach these years with clarity, confidence, and peace.
Rachel offers practical guidance on academics, college admissions, and non-college pathways, while always keeping in mind a home life rooted in faith, connection, purpose, and love. Her work is informed not only by her own experience, but by ongoing conversations with educators, college advisors, dual-enrollment leaders, and fellow homeschooling parents.
Rachel believes education is deeply personal. Through real stories and honest conversations, Rachel helps families see that there isn’t just one “right” way to homeschool in high school. There are many good paths, and each family can find the one that fits their child best. While the journey can be challenging, it’s also wildly rewarding and full of possibility.
Rachel lives in Texas with her husband and four of their six children while their two oldest are off at college. When she’s not writing or homeschooling, she loves photography, sewing, growing flowers, baking sourdough, and learning Italian.
